What you walk away with

The first blink

The moment the board on your desk does exactly what your design did on screen. Quiet at first. Then you make someone come and look.

Trusted with the real thing

Ordinary parts that push into a solderless breadboard, a real chip, a tiny real language, and rules that let you get stuck and get yourself out. Powered from your laptop.

The gift they build the same evening

Wrap a box of real parts. By that evening a light they built is blinking on their desk, and they make you come and look. The parts are theirs to keep building with.

One evening, start to finish

Three moments the kit is built around.

  1. The box opens

A Pico, a breadboard, red, yellow and green lights, a buzzer, buttons and wires. Chapter one's card shows exactly where each one goes.

  2. Chapter one, one evening

Push the parts into the breadboard, plug the Pico into your laptop and copy one small program across. The same parts are yours to build with again.

  3. It blinks. Then it's yours.

The light keeps blinking on your desk while you walk away. Next weekend the same parts become an idea nobody wrote down for you.

One honest sentence about how

Every Lorevolt circuit uses ordinary off-the-shelf parts: Kitronik's Discovery Kit for Raspberry Pi Pico, running MicroPython. Your next machine grows from the same parts, so your kit stays the real thing.

We do not promise a career, a classroom or a genius. We promise a real circuit, real parts and a world worth the evening.

Who is building

Lorevolt is built by Tristan Berry. Your kit is Kitronik's Discovery Kit for Raspberry Pi Pico with a Pico and a USB cable, shipped by Core Electronics in Newcastle, NSW. Every Lorevolt chapter is written for exactly those parts.

Fair questions

Is this a toy with an education label?

No. Ordinary components, a real microcontroller, a solderless breadboard. When the booklet ends, the parts still belong to you and so does the skill.

I already play factory games. Why this one?

Because here the machine leaves the screen first. Chapter one is a real circuit on your desk.

Is it a good gift?

Yes. They open a box of real parts, chapter one's card shows where each one goes, and that evening the light they built is blinking on their desk. Nothing to solder, nothing renews, and the parts stay theirs for the next idea.

Battle pass? DLC treadmill?

Buy the kit once. Nothing resets, nothing is metered, nothing nags.

Is the lost-civilisation part pseudoscience?

It is a story. The circuits are real. The game never claims the past happened this way, and the kit never depends on it.

Make it blink.

The kit, chapter one and the blink sandbox, shipped to your door.

Who is it for?

A$99 once. The kit is yours; nothing renews.

Nothing is charged when you leave your email.
